LAN was retained by the Goshen Christian Reformed Church to provide architectural and engineering services for the construction of a two-story Youth Center. The Youth Center program is primarily located on the upper level, which includes a small kitchenette, storage, announcer’s booth, and restroom facilities. The lower level was designed to provide support services for the athletic field as well as an office, and concession stand. The building is located on a downward slope and was designed so the support services, including storage space, can be accessed at grade on the lower level. A viewing deck was designed and constructed at the upper level with ADA access from the parking lot.
This was a community project built to be inclusive. Labor and materials for the Youth Center were charitably donated, reducing the overall construction costs.
