LAN was retained by the New Jersey Schools Construction Corporation, now the New Jersey Schools Development Authority, to perform site feasibility investigation services. The work was centered around the acquisition of six residential properties with structures for the expansion of the existing Park Avenue School in Orange, New Jersey.
LAN prepared a preliminary assessment report for each of the properties to be acquired and prepared a hazardous building materials report for each structure. This included documentation of the asbestos, lead based paint, and PCBs in each of the buildings. LAN prepared specifications to address the abatement of asbestos and the removal of several underground storage tanks.
