LAN partnered with MKW + Associates to develop plans and reports for a new synthetic turf athletic field & running track for Ramapo College. The existing natural turf field was replaced with artificial turf to increase available playtime duration and decrease maintenance cost and water usage. The track was replaced with a new larger rubberized running track.
Stormwater concerns were addressed by installing a new strip drain at the interface between the track and the artificial turf field, where it is directed to a seepage structure. This mitigated the increase in storm water flow coming from the larger track surface. As part of the project, LAN also performed a topographic survey of the existing athletic facilities.
