Rhinebeck Bank Office Renovation

As the first step in a planned expansion, LAN Associates was retained to provide professional architectural and engineering services to renovate an existing 2,000 sf bank into a new Rhinebeck Bank branch office.

Exterior upgrades to the first floor street front location provide an elegant and welcoming architectural statement that enhances the community aesthetic. Inside the bank, LAN provided specialized design elements including salvaging and refinishing the client’s existing mahogany teller and check writing counters, as well as accommodating the original vault which were both integrated into the new layout. 

LAN’s design integrated ATM machines for both interior walk-ups and exterior drive-up customers, an iPad bar for personal customer banking, new interior partitions for a conference room with a curved wood and glass wall, two private offices, bank manager’s office, safe deposit box viewing room, I.T. computer server room and main banking hall.  

The renovations are ADA handicapped accessible and allow access from the building’s main lobby or rear vestibule for onsite parking. New interior finishes were provided throughout including flooring, energy efficient LED lighting, vinyl wall coverings, window treatments, casework, wood doors with hardware, interior windows, and mahogany trim.

LAN provided a suite of services including schematic design, design development, construction drawings, construction administration, bidding and award, value engineering, regulatory approvals, and overseeing the building permit process.  Coordination among multiple tenant contractors was provided for ATM bank equipment, IT computer networking, communications, security system and fire alarm integration.  LAN’s design services included architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical. Although the client’s schedule was aggressive, renovations were completed in just over three months.
